Theft 

An officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Albans St. in reference to a theft that has already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered the victim had items that were taken from their home without consent.

Narcotics 

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 6000 block of Edloe. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of narcotics. The driver was arrested without incident.

Minor Accident/FSGI

An officer was dispatched to the 5300 block of Kirby in regards to a minor accident that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person struck their vehicle and left without giving any information.

Virtual Gate 

Officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of Bissonnet in regard to a virtual gate camera systems alert regarding a stolen vehicle. An officer located the vehicle in the 3900 block of Bissonnet. A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle began to evade police. After a brief pursuit the driver (Juan Guadalupe Morales Jr.) was detained and the vehicle was confirmed as a stolen vehicle and recovered. The driver was charged with evading. 

The driver (Juan Guadalupe Morales Jr.) has a previous criminal history of: 

Unauthorized use of a vehicle 

Possession of a prohibited substance or item in a correctional facility

Theft 

Possession of Marijuana 

Assault  x2

Possession of a controlled substance 

Evading x2

An officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of University, in reference to found property.  An officer arrived and took possession of the item for safekeeping.

An officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of University in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect changed the victims mailing address without consent.

Officers were dispatched to the 5300 block of Mercer in regards to a virtual gate camera systems alert regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle abandoned in the 3600 block of Albans. The vehicle was recovered and the owner was notified.

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the victim contacted a company for service and after payment later discovered the company was fictitious.
