Criminal Mischief 
An Officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department lobby in reference to Criminal Mischief. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect caused damage to a gate without the victims consent.

An officer of the West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the 4000 block of Bissonnet in regards to a traffic hazard. Upon arrival the officer observed a vehicle that had crashed into a concrete wall on the side of the roadway. Upon contact and through investigation the driver (Jose Umanzor) showed signs of intoxication and was charged for Driving While Intoxicated.

The Driver has previous criminal history of:

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 3900 block of Rice. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

An officer observed a car accident that had already occurred in the 5600 block of Weslayan. Upon further investigation, the driver (Juan Carlos Sanoval Henriquez) was found to be intoxicated and arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 5500 block of Weslayan. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

An officer observed abandoned bicycles that were parked in the 5300 block of Kirby while conducting a business check. The officer transported the bicycles to the police department where they were stored for safe keeping.

DWI 

An officer observed a vehicle traveling in the 5600 block of Weslayan with heavy front end damage, consistent with having been involved in a major crash. The vehicle then became disabled in the 6400 block of Weslayan and an investigatory stop was conducted. After further investigation, the driver (Fabriciano Perez Segura) was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

The driver has no previous criminal history.

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Amherst. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Virtual Gate 

Officers were altered to a hit on the virtual gate camera system in regards to a stolen vehicle. The located and traffic stop was initiated in the 6800 block of Greenbriar. Through investigation it was discovered that the actual vehicle was not stolen, but the license plate displayed on the vehicle was connected to a stolen car. The license plate was removed from the vehicle and the driver was released.

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Rice. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Warrant Service
An officer was dispatched to the 4700 block of Holt in reference to an officer from an outside agency who had a subject detained with outstanding warrants with the West University Place Police Department.  Upon arrival, the officer obtained custody of the subject and was transferred to West University Place Jail for booking.

Warrant Arrest

An officer observed a vehicle failing to display a rear registration while traveling in the 6500 block of Weslayan. A traffic stop was conducted in the 6700 block of Stella Link. After further investigation, the officer discovered the driver of the vehicle had several open warrants for his arrest out of the West University Place Police Department and Houston Police Department. The driver was placed in custody without incident.

 Evading
Officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Albans Rd. in reference to an individual laying in the middle of a yard. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the suspect who displayed signs of intoxication. The suspect evaded from police on foot after being told they were detained. The suspect was placed under arrest and charges were filed.

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Rice. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Robbery 
An officer was dispatched to a robbery in progress in the 3800 block of Browning. A suspect wearing a black hoodie and face covering grabbed items from the victim’s person while the victim was exiting a vehicle. The suspect then got into a vehicle and fled the scene.






An officer was dispatched to the 5300 block of Kirby in regards to a burglary that already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect took items without consent. 

An officer was dispatched to the area of the 5000 block Weslayan in regards to a stolen vehicle “HIT” from an Automated License Plate Reader. The officers later located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Bellaire. The stolen vehicle failed to yield and a short pursuit ensued. The vehicle came to a stop in the 6700 block of Avenue B when all the occupants exited the stolen vehicle and evaded on foot. Officers were able to apprehend two suspects out of four without incident. The two suspects were charged with Evading on Foot.
