An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3200 block of Duke. Upon contact with the driver, the officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The driver displayed signs of intoxication, and a field sobriety test was administered.  The driver, William Hanhausen, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. The driver has no previous criminal history in Harris Couty.

Unlawful Carry of a Weapon 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 6300 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contact with the driver, the officer detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.  A probable cause search led to the discovery of marijuana and a handgun.  The passenger and owner of the vehicle, Kevon Hall, was arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon. Kevon Hall has a criminal history in Harris County for theft and aggravated assault.

Virtual Gate Hit 

Officers were dispatched to the 5300 block of Buffalo Speedway in reference to a virtual gate hit involving a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a high-risk traffic stop.  The driver and both passengers were detained. Inside the stolen vehicle, officers discovered various drugs, drug paraphernalia, and numerous stolen items, including driver’s licenses, credit cards, and mail belonging to multiple individuals.

The driver, Andrew Wilson III, was arrested for outstanding warrants and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The driver has previous history in Harris County including failure to ID, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, aggravated theft, credit card abuse, and theft.

The passenger, Erika Schneider, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and failure to ID – fugitive. The passenger has a criminal history in Harris County, including assault – bodily injury, theft, and possession of a controlled substance (four counts).

The passenger, Kayla McGinnis, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. The passenger has a criminal history in Harris County, including fraud (three counts) and possession of a controlled substance (three counts).

Officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of Weslayan in reference to a virtual gate hit involving a stolen vehicle. Upon locating the vehicle, officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop, detaining both the driver and passenger. A search of the vehicle revealed drugs inside.

The driver, Jorge Garza Salce, was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. He has a prior criminal history in Harris County for assault – family member. The passenger was released at the scene.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5100 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contact and through investigation, it was discovered the driver had outstanding warrants.  After confirming the warrants, officers took the driver into custody. While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, officers found a loaded handgun and drugs. As a result, Maurice Thomas was also charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.

The driver has a prior criminal history in Harris County for criminal mischief.
