Virtual Gate 

Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Carolina Way in regard to a virtual gate camera system alert regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the 2600 block of Barbara Lane, where a traffic stop was conducted. After further investigation, it was discovered the driver had no knowledge that the vehicle had been stolen as they had borrowed it from a friend. The District Attorney’s office declined charges. The driver was placed in custody for an open misdemeanor warrant and the stolen vehicle was recovered.

Auto Theft

An officer was dispatched to the 3700 block of Robinhood for a theft of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person(s) forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and took it without consent.

Public Intoxication

Officers were dispatched to the 6700 block of Stella Link in regard to a minor accident that had already occurred. Upon arrival, they located a disabled vehicle parked in a nearby shopping center parking lot. After further investigation, it was discovered the occupant of the vehicle was intoxicated. The occupant (Howard Hanna) was taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication. 

The occupant (Howard Hanna) has no previous criminal history.

An officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Fenwood in regard to a fraud that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect made fraudulent charges on the victim’s credit card without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Bissonnet in regard to several Burglaries of Motor Vehicles that had already occurred.  Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person(s) forced entry into the vehicles and took personal belongings without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Rice for a theft of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person(s) took the victim’s vehicle without consent. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.

An officer was dispatched to the Bellaire Police Department to pick up a subject for outstanding warrants with the West University Place Police Department. Upon arrival, the officer obtained custody of the subject who was then transferred to the West University Place Jail for booking.

Virtual Gate 

Officers were dispatched to the 6800 block of Buffalo Speedway in regard to a virtual gate camera system alert regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and tried to initiate a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle eventually came to a stop in the 14000 block of Wringley. The driver (Jazmine Long) was detained and charged with Evading and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. 

The driver (Jazmine Long) has a previous criminal history of Assault and Criminal Mischief.

Virtual Gate 

Officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Bellaire in regard to a virtual gate camera system alert regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the 3000 block of W Holcombe, where a traffic stop was conducted. Through investigation, it was discovered that the ownership of the vehicle was a civil matter and no criminal charges were filed against the driver.

Officers were dispatched to the 6500 block of Community in regard to a disabled vehicle near the railroad tracks. Upon arrival, officers observed a male in the passenger seat of the vehicle who was later discovered the be intoxicated. The passenger (Rodney Robertson) was taken into custody and arrested for Public Intoxication.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 6100 block of Buffalo Speedway. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the driver was intoxicated. The driver (Jason Olmos) was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

The driver (Jason Olmos) has no previous criminal history.

An officer spoke with the victim over the phone about an identity theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect used the victim’s personal information to open accounts without consent.
