1/21/24 4:11 AM | 24-0031 | Public Intoxication | An officer observed a vehicle blocking the intersection of the 6700 block of Kirby. An officer made contact with the driver inside the vehicle and it was discovered the individual displayed signs of intoxication. The occupant (Akil Williams) was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication, failure to maintain financial responsibility and expired registration. The individual (Akil Williams) has no previous criminal history. |

Officers located the vehicle stopped in the 5800 block of Buffalo Speedway and conducted a traffic stop. After further investigation, it was discovered the driver was a minor driving under the influence of alcohol and found to be in possession of a firearm.
