The driver Latifu Adeniran was placed into custody and transported to the West U jail for processing. Adeniran was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
Latifu Adeniran does not have a previous criminal history with Harris County. |

08/12/2025 12:52 AM | 25-0465 | Possession of Drug Paraphernalia | An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5900 block of Buffalo Speedway for a vehicle driving over the speed limit. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver and passengers were detained while a probable cause search was conducted and led to the discovery of marijuana. Both passengers were released. The driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Speeding, Driving While License Invalid and released.

Upon investigation, it was found that the driver had outstanding warrants with a local agency. The driver was placed into custody and transported to the West U jail for processing. While taking inventory of the vehicle, the officer discovered drugs. In addition, the driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver and the passengers were detained while a probable cause search was conducted and led to the discovery of marijuana. After further investigation, one of the passengers was placed in custody for felony warrants. The Driver was issued citations for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Driving While License Invalid. Both the driver and the other passenger were both released.
