|4.29.22||22-0212 ||Burglary of Residence||An officer was dispatched to the 4000 block of Arnold for a burglary of a residence that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the victim’s residence taking the victims items without permission.|
|4.29.22||22-0213 ||Virtual Gate Hit|Possession of a controlled substance
The virtual gate systems alerted an officer to a vehicle, in connection to a stolen plate, traveling in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. The vehicle was located and a high risk traffic stop was completed on the vehicle in the 3900 block of Bellaire. Upon contact with the suspects, it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen and all occupants were detained. A search of the vehicle was conducted resulting in the discovery of drugs and personal documents containing identifying information. The driver Foxy Smith was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and fraudulent use of identifying information.

|5.3.22||22-0219 ||Suspicious Circumstance||An officer was dispatched to the 5600 block of Auden for a suspicious circumstance that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that there were discarded packages that had been rummaged through.|
|5.3.22||22-0220 ||Harassment ||An officer was dispatched to the West University Police lobby in regards to a Harassment case. The officer collected the necessary information to obtain a warrant on the suspect. A warrant was obtained and executed, the suspect, James Davet, was taken into custody without incident. The suspect has no criminal history. |
|5.3.22||22-0221 ||Virtual Gate Hit|
An officer was alerted to a virtual gate hit in regards to a vehicle, in connection to a burglary of a motor vehicle case, traveling in the area. The officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Bellaire. Upon contact with the driver a smell of Marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. All occupants were detained. A probable cause search was conducted resulting in the discovery of backpacks full of electronics, burglary tools, and documents containing personal information. Upon investigation it was discovered that the electronics and the documents containing personal information were in connection to multiple burglaries of a motor vehicle occurring minutes before West U PD conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
The driver, Ryan Dewayne Smith, was taken into custody for Theft and Fraudulent possession of identifying information. The driver also had 9 outstanding warrants.
