Public Lewdness

An officer observed a vehicle that was left running in a parking lot with no one in the front driver compartment in the 2700 block of Bissonnet. The officer observed two individuals in the backseat in a compromising position. The occupants of the vehicle David Menchaca and Karen Tran were arrested without incident and charged with Public Lewdness. 

 

David Menchaca and Karen Tran do not have a criminal history with Harris County.

DWI/ FSGI Minor Accident/ Unlawful Carrying Weapon

An officer was dispatched to the 3600 block of Nottingham in reference to a vehicle accident. The witness stated that an unknown person(s) struck two legally parked vehicles on the roadway and left the scene without providing information. The driver of the suspect vehicle was later located.  Upon contact, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and observed signs of intoxication. The driver declined a field sobriety test and was taken into custody where a blood draw was conducted once the search warrant for the drivers blood was granted. During the stop, a firearm was located in the vehicle, resulting in an additional charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon.

The driver, Alexander Lam was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Unlawful Carry of a Weapon, and FSGI.

 

 

Alexander Lam does not have a criminal history with Harris County.

Fraud

An officer was dispatched to the block of 4100 Bissonnet in reference to a fraud that had already occurred. It was found that an unknown suspect disguised themselves as a business representative through email requesting the victim to send electronic items in exchange for upgraded cellphones.

Theft

An officer was dispatched to the block of 3900 University in reference for a theft that had already occurred. It was found that an unknown suspect took a package from the victim’s residence without consent.

Tamper with Government Record

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2600 block of West Holcombe in reference to a vehicle running a red light. Upon contact with the driver, the driver concealed an additional identification. The driver and passengers were detained while an investigation was conducted. It was discovered that the drivers additional identification was a fake id. The driver Evangelos Halastaras was placed into custody and transported to the West U jail for processing for Tampering with Government Record. The passengers were released to their parent.  

 

Evangelos Halastaras does not have a criminal history with Harris County.

Disorderly Conduct 

An officer conducted a business check in the 2700 block of Bissonnet. The officer observed a man standing on the outside of the opened driver side door of his vehicle making furtive movements consistent with urinating. Upon contact, the officer educated the man that urinating in public was an offense and was issued a citation for Urinating in Public.

Warrant Service

An officer was dispatched to meet with an outside agency who had a subject detained with outstanding municipal warrants through West U. Upon arrival, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the West U Jail for processing.
