Recovery of Property
An Officer was dispatched to the West University Police Department Lobby in reference to recovered stolen property. The officer arrived and made contact with the recovering agency confirming the property. The victim was contacted in regards to their property being recovered.
An officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Milton to meet with a resident in regards to an identity theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect open a financial account under the victim’s identity without consent.
Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of West Holcombe in regards to a virtual gate camera systems alert regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and then attempted to conduct a high risk stop on the vehicle in the 4100 block of Belalire Blvd. The suspects’ vehicle refused to stop and accelerated at a high rate of speed causing a vehicle pursuit to be initiated. The vehicle then voluntarily came to a stop in the 6100 block of Fairdale Ln. The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The Suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. The suspect (Joshua Wayne Rundle) was charged with evading and possession of controlled substance.

A police officer was dispatched to the 2800 block of Bissonnet, in regards to a BMV that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person(s) entered into the victim’s secured vehicle with intent to take items without consent.
An Officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed 40 mph in a 25 mph posted zone in the 6500 block of Weslayan. The Officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 6700 block of Weslayan Street. After further investigation, it was determined the driver (Alheli Ramos) was under the influence of alcohol. Information was gathered and charges were filed for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
The drive has no previous criminal history.
Officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Weslayan in regards to a virtual gate camera systems alert regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the 5500 block of Weslayan and a high risk traffic stop was conducted in the 4000 block of Southwest Fwy. The suspect (Richard Lloyd Ledbetter Jr) was taken into custody and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.
He has no previous criminal history.
An officer was notified of anti-semitic propaganda which was located at several residences along the 3700 block of Rice. The propaganda was placed in plastic bags and seemingly thrown on lawns randomly.
Burglary of a Business
An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby in regards to a burglary of a building that had already occurred. The victim said unknown person(s) gained entry onto a construction site and stolen items from the location without consent.
An officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Bissonnet in regards to a Disturbance. Upon arrival, the suspect was detained. Upon investigation it was revealed that the suspect was in possession of a driver’s license and a credit card issued to different individuals. The suspect (Lonnie Dale Bammann) was taken into custody and charged with Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information.

An officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Amherst in regards to a minor accident that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person struck their vehicle and left without giving any information.
