Warrant Service

An officer was dispatched to the 701 block of N San Jacinto Street in reference to an officer from an outside agency who had a subject detained with outstanding warrants with the West University Place Police Department.  Upon arrival, the officer obtained custody of the subject and was transferred to West University Place Jail for booking.

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby in reference to fraudulent activity that had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown suspect used their account without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the 6700 block of Westchester, in regards to Burglary, which had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person entered their home took items without consent.

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 5300 block of Buffalo Speedway. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol 

An officer observed a vehicle in the 2600 block of Albans fail to signal its turn. A traffic stop was conducted and after further investigation, all three juvenile (minors) occupants were found to be in possession of alcohol. Citations were issued and all parties were released without incident.

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Plumb St. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Identity theft 

An officer was dispatched the West University Place Department Lobby in reference to an identity theft that had already occurred.  Upon arrival, it was discovered a suspect gained access to the victim’s identity and used their personal information to open financial accounts without consent.

Eluding

An officer observed a vehicle in the 2700 block of West Holcombe St going over the speed limit. The vehicle continued to elude officer for approximately 10 block coming to a stop in the 3800 block of Bellaire Blvd. Charges of Eluding were accepted by the Harris County District Attorney's Officer and the driver (Jameson Ariel Aguilar) was detained.

Auto Theft 

An officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Wroxton for a theft of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person(s) took the victims vehicle without consent.

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 5700 block of Weslayan. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Virtual Gate 

Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Dustan in regards to a virtual gate camera systems alert regarding a vehicle in connection with several BMVs in the area. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a high risk traffic stop. During the investigation officers discovered several stolen items inside the vehicle from numerous burglary of vehicles that had just occurred at local area businesses.  The driver (Anthony Louis Jackson) and passenger (Broderick Jamel Flood) were taken into custody and charged with Burglary of a Vehicle and Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information. In addition, the driver was found to have several outstanding warrants.

Possession of a Handgun 

An officer conducted a traffic in the 3900 block of Coleridge.  During the traffic stop the officer discovered the driver was in possession of a handgun, which did not belong to the driver.  The handgun was confiscated and driver was cited.

Traffic Stop

An officer observed a vehicle traveling in the 4100 block of Bissonnet St. displaying a license plate that showed to be cancelled and issued to a different vehicle in the state database. A traffic stop was conducted and after further investigation, the license plate was seized for destruction. The driver and vehicle were released from the scene without incident.

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Evading

An officer observed a vehicle with no front license plate, no registration sticker, and no rear license plate, traveling in the 5400 block of Belmont. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver refused commands, exited the vehicle and evaded on foot. The driver was caught and detained resulting in charges for Evading Arrest/ Detention.

An officer was dispatched to the 6500 block of Vanderbilt, in regards to computer crime, which had already occurred. Upon arrival it was discovered an unknown person(s) gained access into the victim’s personal email account and altered / added information without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby in reference to fraudulent activity that had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown suspect impersonated their boss via email stating for them to purchase gift cards and provide the information back to them.

Criminal Mischief 

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Sunset Blvd for a criminal mischief that already occurred. Upon arrival it discovered, that an unknown suspect damaged the front door of the victim’s residence without consent.
