10/10/025 04:16 AM | 25-0561 | Virtual Gate Hit | Officers responded to a Virtual Gate alert on a vehicle entering the city that had been identified as the suspect vehicle in a previous investigation. Officers quickly arrived in the area, located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. While checking the area, officers discovered a vehicle nearby that had been burglarized. Investigation determined that one of the occupants, Maximiliano Castillo, was involved with the burglary and he was subsequently arrested and charged with Burglary of Vehicle. Another occupant, Santiago Zavala, was found to be in possession of credit cards which were discovered to have been stolen in a separate burglary incident and he was arrested and charged with Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse. During the course of the investigation, Mr. Zavala provided fictitious identifying information and was additionally charged with Failure to Identify. The driver of the vehicle, Arturo Ybarra, was arrested for a traffic law violation. All suspects were taken into custody without incident and transported to the WUPD jail.

10/12/2025 01:24 AM | 25-0566 | DWI | An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block Bellaire on a vehicle that was driving erratically. Upon contact with the driver, the officer saw signs of intoxication. The driver declined a field sobriety test and was taken into custody where a blood draw was conducted once the search warrant for the drivers blood was granted. The driver Jael Alvear Arboleda was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

The subject matching the description was located in the 2700 block of Bissonnet. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the subject was intoxicated in public and a danger to himself or others and was taken into custody. A search incident to arrest was conducted, resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. |

Upon contact with the driver, the officer observed alcoholic containers within the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger were detained while a probable search was conducted which led to the discovery of multiple containers of alcohol and a tobacco vapor. The officer confiscated the alcohol and tobacco, and the driver was issued citations for Alcohol Minor in Possession, Speeding, and Driver’s License Restriction.
