Warrant Service 

An officer was dispatched to the 5400 block of Bellaire to pick up a subject for outstanding municipal warrants with the West University Place Police Department. Upon arrival, the officer obtained custody of the subject who was then transferred to the West University Place Jail for booking.

Identity Theft 

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby in regard to an identity theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect used the victim’s personal information to open a loan without consent.

An Officer was dispatched to the 3300 block of Robinhood in reference to a BMV that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown person took items from the victim's unsecured vehicle without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Wroxton in reference to a minor accident that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person operating a vehicle had struck their vehicle and left without giving any information.

An officer was dispatched to the 3700 block of Albans in regard to a fraud incident that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect forged the victim’s information on a check and attempted to cash a check without consent.

An Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3500 block of University Blvd. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect’s vehicle was displaying license plates belonging to another vehicle. The license plates were seized for destruction.

Virtual Gate 

Officers were dispatched to the 6800 block of Buffalo Speedway in regard to a virtual gate camera system alert regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle in the 5300 block of Rutgers, where a traffic stop was conducted. The driver (Zekarious Perry) of the vehicle was detained and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. 

The driver (Zekarious Perry) has a previous criminal history of:

Burglary in Progress 

Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Duke St. in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation in progress where it was reported that the suspect was attempting to force entry into the residence through the back door. Officers arrived shortly after and located an individual matching the description at the front of the residence who then fled on foot. Officers from surrounding agencies established a perimeter and conducted a ground search. The suspect (Brandon Hollins) was ultimately located and taken into custody without incident. The suspect (Brandon Hollins) was charged with misdemeanor Evading and misdemeanor Criminal Mischief.

DWI

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 6000 block of Buffalo Speedway. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the driver was intoxicated. The driver (Christopher Coleman) was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

The driver (Christopher Coleman) has a previous criminal history of Assault and Prostitution.
