09/04/2021 | 21-0638 | Tampering with Evidence | At 10:20 PM an officer observed a vehicle traveling in the 6200 block of Weslayan displaying expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle for the violation. Upon contact with the driver (Kenneth Jenkins) and through investigation, it was discovered the driver had multiple outstanding felony warrants. The driver was taken into custody for the warrants. The driver was also charged with tampering with physical evidence 3rd degree felony after discovering the suspect/driver ingested drugs during the traffic stop. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle for the violation. Upon officers contact with the driver (Ja Mahri Vontoine Brazile) a smell of marijuana emanated from the vehicle.
