08/20/2021	21-0609	Failure to Stop and Give Information	At about 12:30 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police department was dispatched to the 2700 block of Arbuckle St. The victim advised an unknown vehicle and driver struck his vehicle and did not leave any insurance or identifying information. An offense report and crash report were generated.
08/20/2021	21-0610	Possession of Marijuana	At approximately 8:53 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 6300 block of Buffalo Speedway with an expired Texas Temporary Buyer Tag. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the 3200 block of Carnegie. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the driver of the vehicle to be in possession of a large amount of marijuana. The driver (Vergie Jackson) was subsequently arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Previous History File Date Court Offense 03/28/2021 337 Poss Marij 4 OZ. – 5 LBS.
08/21/2021	21-0611	Failure to Stop and Give Information	At approximately 7:09 PM, an officer with the City of West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the 6200 block of Lake in regard to an FSGI that had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown driver struck and damaged her vehicle and did not stop to leave their contact information. An offense report and crash report were generated.

08/24/2021	21-0613	Driving While Intoxicated/Felon in Possession of Firearm	At 12:16 AM, officers with the West University Place Police Department were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call in the 5800 block of Academy. Upon arriving and locating the vehicle matching the description, the driver was found to be intoxicated. The driver was additionally found to be in possession of marijuana and a loaded firearm. The driver (Isreal Lee Bailey Jr.) was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Felon in Possession of Firearm. 08/24/2021	21-0614	Theft	An officer was dispatched to the 2900 block of Amherst for a theft of a motor vehicle part that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person(s) stole a catalytic converter from underneath their vehicle. A report was made.
08/24/2021	21-0615	Fraud	At approximately 11:57 AM, an officer with the city of West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the PD to meet with a resident concerning fraud. The officer met with the victim obtaining required information.
08/25/2021	21-0616	ALPR Hit	At 03:20 AM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department located a vehicle that was reported stolen traveling eastbound in the 3700 block of Bellaire. A high risk stop was conducted and the two occupants were detained without incident. After conducting an investigation, the driver was found to be in possession of a handgun and narcotics. The driver (Jeffrey Christopher Anyanwu) was arrested for Unlawful Carry of a Weapon by a Felon and the passenger (Joseph C. Hamilton) arrested for an outstanding felony warrant out of the Pearland Police Department. The stolen vehicle was recovered and information referred to the originating agency.
