| At 2:32 PM, an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 2900 block of Bissonnet in reference to a case of criminal mischief. The victim said an unknown person(s) spray painted something in black on her walkway.

08/19/2021 | 21-0608 | Burglary of Motor Vehicle | At 5:27 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the police station lobby in reference to a delayed burglary of a vehicle report that occurred in the 5900 block of Fordham. An unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and removed a cellphone and wallet without the effective consent of the owner. An offense report for BMV was generated. The victim (Yoani David Palacios) was found to have an outstanding felony warrant out of Kansas and was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
