At 04:22 AM, officers with the West University Place Police Department were dispatched to the 6100 block of Edloe in reference to a burglary alarm at a business. Upon arrival, officers located an individual who presented a fictitious driver’s license. The individual (Ephapharus Njagi Kaburu) was arrested for possession of fictitious driver’s license.

|08/06/2021||21-0595||MMDP||At about 1:26 PM, an officer with West University Place Police Department was on routine patrol in the area of 3000 University Blvd and 6300 of Vanderbilt St. when we observed a vehicle traveling north bound on Vanderbilt St. The red Hyundai disregarded the stop sign at 6300 Vanderbilt St. and 3000 University Blvd and proceeded through without stopping. I conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at 6300 Wakeforest, and located marijuana. The driver was offered Misdemeanor Marijuana Diversion Program and accepted it, driver was released from the traffic stop and the marijuana was booked into evidence.|
|08/07/2021||21-0596||Unlawful Installation of Tracking Device||At approximately 10:14 AM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Lobby located at 3800 University to speak with a complainant. The complainant stated that their former fiancé installed a tracking device in their motor vehicle without their permission. Information was gathered and a report for Unlawful Installation of Tracking Device was generated.|

|08/09/2021||21-0597||ALPR Hit||At 9:43 AM, officers were dispatched to Buffalo Speedway and Bissonnet in reference to an Automated License Plate Reader “HIT” for a stolen vehicle. Dispatch advised the vehicle was a silver SUV traveling southbound. The vehicle was located, stopped in the 2600 block of Talbot, and after further investigation the vehicle was impounded for a civil hearing for ownership.|
