Minor Accident/FSGI

An officer was dispatched to the 6300 block of Rutgers in regard to a minor accident that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered one of the drivers involved in the accident had an open warrant with an outside agency.  The driver was taken into custody and transported to Harris County Jail.

Animal Bite

An officer was dispatched to the 3800 block of Ruskin in regard to a Dog Bite that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered while walking on the sidewalk the victim was bitten by two loose dogs. The owner of the dogs was found and received several citations.

An officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of University in regard to a suspicious person who may have been squatting in a residence. Upon arrival, the officer did not observe any signs of potential squatting but gathered information for investigational purposes.

An officer was dispatched to the 6200 block of Kirby in regard to a Suspicious Person. Upon arrival, it was determined the subject was experiencing a mental health crisis. The subject was transported to a local hospital and admitted under an Emergency Detention Order.

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby in regard to an identity theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect used the victims person information to open a financial account without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Pittsburg regarding a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect had taken the victims side view mirrors from their vehicle without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the 3500 block of Plumb regarding a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect had taken and altered the victims check from the mail without consent.

Cruelty to Animals 

Officers were dispatched to the 6700 block of Mercer in regard to two abandoned puppies. Upon arrival, it was discovered two puppies were left inside of a travel kennel. These puppies were transported to the police station for the animal control officer to evaluate.
