| 21-0583 | Public Intoxication
| At 06:45 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Albans in reference to a welfare check. Dispatch advised that the caller observed a vehicle sitting in the roadway with the engine running for over an hour. Officers arrived and located the vehicle in the area. Officers approach the vehicle and found two subjects asleep. Officers made contact with the subjects and after further investigation, determined that the subjects were heavily under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The subjects (Juan Esparza-Espinosa and a minor) were arrested for public intoxication and transported to West University Place jail for book-in. The victim said and unknown person(s) had made entry into their Jeep without their consent and nothing was taken. A report was generated.

| At approximately 12:39 PM, a police officer was dispatched to the 3800 block of Bellaire, in regards to a Burglary of a Building, which had already occurred. The complainant stated an unknown person entered the property and stole several electronic items. Information was gathered and a report was generated.

| 08/04/2021 | 21-0588 | Public Intoxication | At approximately 3:50 AM, officers with the West University Place Police Department observed an individual who displayed signs of intoxication while walking along the sidewalk in the 2600 block of West Holcombe. Upon contact the individual (Michael James Heredia) was found to be highly intoxicated and arrested for public intoxication without incident. Officers met with the victim who stated items were missing from the residence. A report of a burglary of a habitation was generated.
