Burglary of a Building 

Officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Robinhood Street for a burglary of a building that already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect broke in and took items from a residence under construction overnight.

Criminal Mischief

Officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Bellaire in reference to a verbal disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, officers learned a suspect punched a door shattering the glass then left the scene. The suspect was located and charged with Criminal Mischief.

Criminal Mischief 

Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of W. Holcombe in reference to a criminal mischief that had already occurred. Upon arrival, a broken window was discovered in the rear of the residence. Officers determined that no entry was made to the residence, and no items were taken.

Public Intoxication

An officer observed a vehicle stopped in a moving lane of traffic in the 2900 block of Bissonnet. It was discovered that the driver was asleep at the wheel and upon further investigation, the driver was found to be intoxicated to the degree that he posed a danger to himself/others. The individual was arrested for Public Intoxication without incident. An inventory of the vehicle incident to the arrest revealed numerous fictitious temporary tags issued to the vehicle. The driver was subsequently charged with Tampering with a Government Record.

Drug Paraphernalia 

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Felon in Possession of a Firearm 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Bissonnet for a fictitious temporary tag and a defective brake light. Upon contact with the driver, the officer could smell an odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Both the driver and the passenger were asked to exit the vehicle, as a probable cause search would be conducted. As the driver exited the vehicle, a pat down was conducted and revealed a plastic baggie containing marijuana on his person. Additionally, the driver was found to have four outstanding warrants with a local agency but they were unable to confirm. The driver was released from the scene with multiple citations. 

A pat down of the passenger revealed one handgun under his armpit and one handgun on his ankle, both of which were loaded. The passenger of the vehicle originally provided officers with a fictitious name as it didn’t match the police database. Officers attempted to identify the passenger through his fingerprints using a mobile AFIS. The passenger initially resisted and refused to comply. Eventually the passenger’s fingerprints were obtained which revealed his identity as Ryan Henderson. It was confirmed the passenger had an outstanding felony warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. The passenger was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The passenger has criminal history for the following:

An officer was dispatched to the 4000 block of Bellaire in reference to a theft that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect took items without consent.

An officer was performing a traffic stop in the 5500 block of Weslayan. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Virtual Gate 

Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of West Holcombe in regards to a virtual gate camera systems alert regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a high risk traffic stop in the 3900 block of Bellaire. Officers were able to detain the two occupants of the stolen vehicle without incident. After further investigation, the driver (Robert Anthony Jimenez) was placed in custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance and the passenger was released without incident.
