Movies in the Park
Join the Parks and Recreation Department for their Movies in the Park series, held at Colonial Park, 4130 Byron. The first movie will be shown October 15, and feature "Raya and the Last Dragon," rated PG. Movie start time is 7:00 p.m. For more information, call 713.662.7420.
October 15: Come out to Colonial Park October 15 and enjoy the first of the two movies in the Movies in the Park Series during October. The movie October 15 will feature "Raya and the Last Dragon." rate PG. Bring a picnic and the family for a night of fun. The movie starts at 7:00 p.m.
October 22: Join us October 22 for a fun-filled night! As part tow of our Movies in the Park Series, the second showing will feature "Croods, A New Age," rated PG. Also, don't forget that the Full Moon Fest is before the movie, so come to Colonial Park, 4130 Byron, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. for a spooky exciting night filled with activities the entire family will enjoy. Full Moon Fest
The City of West University Place Parks and Recreation Department is excited to welcome back the Full Moon Fest celebration to Colonial Park Pavilion on Friday, October 22nd at 5:30 p.m., which is sure to be an evening of fun for the whole family!
Activities will include open-air bounce houses, face paintings, activity booths, and a real pumpkin patch where you can pick a pumpkin to take home! In addition, there will be a costume contest so make sure the whole family comes in their spookiest attire. Registration for the costume contest is complimentary and will be judged by the following age categories; 0-2, 3-5, 6-9, and 10+. Registration is for West U Residents only. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Registration closes Friday, October 15th and will not be accepted onsite. Along with all of the spooktacular activities happening that evening, as part of the Tree City USA program, the City will be holding its annual Arbor Day Celebration in conjunction with the Full Moon Fest! Residents will be able to take home one complimentary tree per household.
As the evening winds down, the festivities will conclude with a showing of the featured film The Croods – A New Age (PG) at 7:00 p.m.
