Party on the Patio Concert Series Kicks off June 7
Get ready to enjoy a fantastic lineup with some of Houston's best known bands! The Fab 5 kicks off the first Party on the Patio concert of the season at Colonial Park Pool June 7. Sponsored by Jones Day, concerts are scheduled on four consecutive Fridays in June from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on the Colonial Park Deck, 4130 Byron.
Blankets and lawn chairs are permitted, and concessions will be available for purchase from Jami's Fine Foods. Party on the Patio is a complimentary concert event for West U Residents and their guests. If you wish to swim, regular pool admission is required. No alcohol or pets are permitted.

Father's Day Concert
Enjoy one of the best traditions in West U. On Sunday, June 16, Chuck Thockmorton will conduct the Houston Concert Band as we Celebrate Father's Day. The event will be held at the Community Building, 6104 Auden, in the Auditorium starting at 2 p.m. This popular event is complimentary so don't miss out on a great afternoon hearing the best music in town.
Independence Day Bike Parade & Pool Party
The City of West University Place Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Independence Day Bike Parade & Pool Party on Thursday, July 4. Line up in front of City Hall, 3800 University, at 8:45 p.m. to participate in the parade. Participants are encouraged to decorate their bicycles, tricycles, wagons, and strollers. The Bike Parade begins promptly at 9 a.m.
After the parade, the festivities will continue from 9:15 a.m. - 12 p.m. with complimentary admission to the pool. Be sure to take part in the excitement and visit with the caricature artists, face painters, balloon artists, and more. Of course, you don't want to miss the opportunity to earn some extra cash during the popular money dive, and be sure to have your camera ready during the annual "Dad's Belly Flop" contest. The events wrap up around 12 p.m., but enjoy a lazy afternoon at the pool, as it will remain open until 6 p.m.

Dive-In to Summer Movie Fun
The summer is heating up, which means the time of year for Dive-In Movies is here! The City of West University Place Parks & Recreation Department will host tow Friday night family-friendly movies at Colonial Park Pool, 4130 Byron St.
Movies begin shortly after 8 p.m., once the sun has gone down. Admission to the movie is complimentary, however, to swim, daily admission prices apply. Those not wishing to swim are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs, and relax on the grass. Food and drink selections will be available for purchase at Jami's Fine Foods.
July 19 showing MEMBERS ONLY:Mary Poppins Returns (Rated PG), Decades after her original visit, the magical nanny returns to help the Banks siblings and Michael's children through a difficult time in their lives.
August 2 showing:Wonder Park (Rated PG), Wonder Park tells the story of an amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive.
