On Wednesday, March 10th, Governor Abbott's Executive Order GA-34 will go into effect across Texas. The City of West University Place will continue to require face coverings while within City facilities, which includes the Recreation Center, in accordance with guidance from local health authorities and the CDC to ensure the upmost precautions remain in place to protect the health and safety of residents and staff members. Even though the Governor has lifted the restrictions imposed by the State doesn't mean COVID-19 is behind us. West U encourages residents to continue to follow all safety precautions to minimize the spread of the virus.
