The park green spaces are open for residents to enjoy while maintaining acceptable social distancing. These openings will only be for the green space portion of the parks, and will not include playground areas.
Keeping these park green spaces open will depend upon your cooperation by keeping out of closed areas, maintaining social distancing, practicing good hygiene, and following recommended health protocols.

Colonial Park West End
Seasonal park, open when Colonial Park Pool isn’t operating. Open greenspace, two large party decks and barbeque grills.
Designed specifically as a passive park, this park enjoys a lush landscape with ample seating, arbor, paved walkway and signature clock tower.
Playground equipment, shade arbor, game and picnic tables.
Jennie Elizabeth Hughes Park
West U’s newest addition to the park system. Covered "Front Parch shade structure with rocking chairs, large open greenspace, stream bed with button activated water feature, picnic table, log and bench seating.
Lighted tennis court, playground equipment, picnic deck, concrete walking path, barbeque grills, game and picnic tables.

Children’s playground with near by jogging/walking track and outdoor fitness equipment.
Please note that the Colonial Park Pavilion and the Colonial Park West End Decks are the only park space that may be reserved for parties. All other areas within the parks (except for tennis courts) are available on a 1st-come, 1st-serve basis. Colonial Park Pavilion is the only park designated for inflatable structures (such as bounce houses) with proof of insurance. Any other amusements inhibiting park space must be approved by the Recreation Center Management. Please call 713.662.7420 for additional information.
