Phase One of the Facility Master Plan (FMP) focuses on the new Public Works Maintenance Facility. This new facility will be approximately 17,360 square feet and two stories tall at the corner of Westpark Dr. and Dincans St in the City of Houston.
The existing Public Works operation buildings were built over 70 years ago and are not optimized to meet current and future service demand. Relocating the operational and maintenance facilities to this new site will allow important space in the center of West U to be dedicated to other public purposes and community services. Additionally, the new Facility will house the Parks Maintenance Division, freeing up space in the Recreation Center.
