07/04/22- Independence Day Bike Parade 8:45am 

Families and kids of all ages are invited to participate in the Independence Day Bike Parade. Residents are encourages to decorate their bikes, strollers, and wagons in red, white, and blue colors. A West U fire truck, a police vehicle, and bicycle police are all schedule to join the fun and excitement of the parade! The parade lines up on University Blvd., in front of West U Elementary, at 8:45 am. The parade begins promptly at 9:00 am. proceeding west on University, turning south on Academy, then heads west on Byron, ending at Colonial Park, 4130 Byron St.

8/16/22- Child ID & Fingerprinting Event 2:30pm-4:00pm

WUPD has collaborated with Chick-fil-A (3101 W. Holcombe Blvd., Houston Tx 77025) to host a Child ID and Fingerprinting Event on August 16th from 2:30pm-4:00pm. WUPD wants to ensure the safety of your children by providing residents with free Child ID cards. These Child ID cards feature a child’s photo and finger prints, as well as contact information and other pertinent details needed by police in case of an emergency. At this event, West U police officers will help fingerprint children, and these Child ID cards will be given to the children’s parents or guardians for safe keeping. The first 100 participants will receive a FREE ice-cream cone and police goodie bag to enjoy! The Child ID cards will be provided to participants on a first come basis while supplies lasts.

Join your neighbors and West U Officers for coffee and Conversation. No agenda or speeches, just an opportunity to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in the city!
