An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby in regard to found property.  An officer arrived and took possession of the item for safekeeping.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Sunset. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Auto theft

An officer was dispatched to the 4000 block of Tennyson for a theft of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. It was discovered an unknown person(s) took the victim’s secure vehicle without consent.

Virtual Gate 

Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Robinhood in regard to a virtual gate camera system alert regarding a wanted person. Officers located the vehicle and the suspect in the 5800 block of Kirby. The suspect was found to have multiple outstanding felony warrants issued by numerous Texas law enforcement agencies as well as one in the State of Colorado. During the investigation, the suspect (Kerdija Charles) provided false identifying information and was additionally charged with Failed to Identify-Fugitive.
The suspect (Kerdija Charles) has a criminal history of Credit Card Abuse.

DWI

Officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Bissonnet in regard to a suspicious vehicle. Officers located the vehicle, and a traffic stop was conducted in the 4000 block of Bissonnet. Through investigation, it was discovered the individual displayed signs of intoxication. The driver (Franceli Rivers) was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. 

The driver (Franceli Rivers) has a previous criminal history of Assault.

Possession of Identifying Information 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Bellaire Blvd. Through investigation, it was discovered the driver was in possession of personal identifiable information. The driver (Alex Blue) was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Personal Identifying Information.
The driver (Alex Blue) has no previous criminal history.

An officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Sunset regarding a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect had taken items from the victim's front porch without consent.

Suspicious Person 

Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Amherst, to speak with a complainant in regard to suspicious activity. Upon arrival, Officers discovered a subject standing in the backyard of the residents and was showing signs of intoxication. The subject (Jose Cruz) was placed in custody and charged with Public Intoxication.

The subject (Jose Cruz) has no previous criminal history.

An officer was dispatched to the 3700 block of Wroxton regarding a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered a suspect took an item from the victim’s front yard without consent.

DWI

Officers were dispatched to the 6600 block of Buffalo Speedway in regard to a vehicle driving the opposite way of traffic. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 6600 block of Buffalo Speedway. The driver attempted to elude officers for approximately 1 mile but eventually stopped. Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop in the 3900 block of Bellaire Blvd and the driver was detained without incident. After further investigation, it was discovered, that the driver (Jose Ardon) showed signs of intoxication and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

The driver (Jose Ardon) has no previous criminal history.

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby in regard to an identity theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect used the victim’s personal information to open a financial account without consent.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Carnegie. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the suspect was in Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Warrant Arrest 

An officer performed a traffic stop in the 6600 block of Rutgers. Upon investigation, it was discovered the driver had an open warrant for their arrest and was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was taken into custody for the open warrant and issued a citation for the Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Disturbance

Officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Bissonnet regarding a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, it was discovered an individual trespassed on the resident’s property began to cause a disturbance with workers on location.  The individual then proceeded to use a tool in an attempt to assault the workers on location. The individual (Derek Williams) was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.
