An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Pemberton in reference to a theft that had already happened. Upon arrival, it was discovered unknown suspect(s) took items from a secure construction site without consent.

An officer was dispatched to the 3900 block of Ruskin in reference to a forgery incident that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown suspect forged four checks and cashed them from the victims checking account without consent.

An officer was dispatched to meet with an outside agency who had a subject detained with outstanding municipal warrants through WUPD. Upon arrival, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the West U Jail for processing.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 6700 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search led to the discovery of marijuana. The driver was issued citations for possession of drug paraphernalia, expired registration, and failure to provide liability insurance.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5300 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon investigation, the officer identified the vehicle to be displaying incorrect license plates and was found to be stolen from Louisiana. The driver Tyler Armstead was charged with Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle. 

 

Tyler Armstead has no previous criminal history in Harris County.

An officer was dispatched to meet with an outside agency who had a subject detained with outstanding municipal warrants through WUPD. Upon arrival, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the West U Jail for processing.

An officer was dispatched to the 6400 block of Community in reference to a failure to stop and give information traffic accident that had already happened.  An unknown vehicle struck the victim’s unattended vehicle and left the scene without providing the information required by law.

An officer observed a vehicle stopped in the 6000 block of Weslayan St. Upon contact with the driver, the officer saw signs of intoxication. A standard field sobriety test was initiated, and the driver Cameron Mendez-Torres was taken into custody and charged for Driving While Intoxicated.
