Officers located the vehicle pulling the trailer and performed a felony traffic stop in the 2600 block of Holcome. After further investigation, it was discovered the occupants of the vehicle had recently purchased the trailer unaware that it was stolen. The occupants were released from the scene and the trailer was taken for safekeeping. |

4/30/24 2:22 PM | 24-0224 | Virtual Gate Hit | An officer was dispatched to the 6900 block of Stella Link in regard to a virtual gate camera system alert regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and performed a felony traffic stop in the 6200 block of Weslayan and the driver was detained. The district attorney’s office ultimately denied charges and the driver was released from the scene. |
4/30/24 10:35 PM | 24-0225 | Virtual Gate Hit | An officer was dispatched to the 5000 block of Weslayan in regard to a virtual gate camera system alert regarding a wanted vehicle in connection to a West U case. Officers located the occupied vehicle and performed a traffic stop in it in the 5000 block of Kirby. After further investigation, it was discovered the passenger of the vehicle was in possession of drug paraphernalia and had several open warrants out for their arrest. The passenger was placed in custody for the open warrants and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail. |
5/1/24 1:02 PM | 24-0226 | BMV | Officers in an unmarked vehicle observed a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle in progress in the 5100 block of Kirby. Officers request additional marked units to respond to the scene. While additional officers were en route the suspect was observed fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The marked units located the suspect in their vehicle and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted. The suspect (Melvin Stewart) was taken into custody and charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.
