Heavy police presence occurred in the 6500 block of Mercer following a burglary of a motor vehicle in progress. One suspect is in custody, while a second suspect initially remained at large.
An active police perimeter was established and included multiple agencies, a police helicopter, and K-9 units searching for a Black male wearing dark clothing.
After a thorough search of the area, there is no indication the suspect remains in the vicinity. Officers will continue to maintain a presence in the area as the investigation into the burglary moves forward.
