Beginning Monday, May 5, the Parks and Recreation Department's contractor will begin annual tree maintenance in West U parks and at various city facilities. During periods of this maintenance, certain parks will be closed.
Tentative Closure Schedule:
- Thursday, May 8 - Whitt Johnson Park will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Friday, May 9 - Wier Park will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 14 - Huffington Park will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This maintenance is anticipated to be completed by Wednesday, May 14. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation. Inclement weather may postpone work activities.
