A police training exercise involving multiple agencies is scheduled to take place in Houston near the West University Place area starting today, December 12, 2024, from 4:00pm-10:00pm. Throughout the exercise, residents may experience loud noise, notice increased police presence, and observe helicopters during the afternoon and evening hours. Collaboration training among local, state, and federal partners is standard practice as we work towards improving public service. To prioritize security, no public viewing opportunities are planned during the exercise to ensure the highest level of safety.
