4/4/2023: AT&T Fiber Optic service should now be restored to all residents living in the 3700 Blocks of Georgetown St., and streets north to Bissonnet St. between Auden St. and Edloe St.. AT&T requests that any customers without service, contact their customer support line at 1-800-288-2020.

4/3/2023: On Monday, April 3, the City was made aware that the contractor working on the Edloe Street Pathway Project hit an AT&T fiber optic cable, which had not been marked. AT&T was notified and is on site evaluating the area for repairs. Residents living in the 3700 Blocks of Georgetown St., and streets north to Bissonnet St. between Auden St. and Edloe St. may experience internet outages. At this time, there is no estimate from AT&T on service restoration. For updated outage information, please visit AT&T Service Outage Information (att.com).

03/17/2023: Site preparation and grading began on March 13 and will continue when weather/ground conditions improve. The aluminum fencing installation along Poor Farm Ditch is now scheduled to begin the week of April 17. The installation should take approximately 2 weeks.

02/09/2023: On January 23, Council authorized staff to enter into a contract with PMG Project Management Group, LLC, the low bidder, who also scored highest on the bid tabulation, to construct a pervious pathway along the east side of Edloe St. between Albans St. and Georgetown St. for construction of the Edloe Street Pathway with the following improvements:
- A pervious pathway using recycled materials
- 6-foot high aluminum fencing along west side of Poor Farm Ditch; including an update to the existing fencing located near the three pedestrian bridges to ensure a uniform look and feel.
- Irrigation system
- Benches
- Drinking fountains
- Landscaping
Procurement begins in mid-February with mobilization scheduled for early March. Final completion is scheduled in June, weather permitting. Other work not included in the bid is to relocate some of the CenterPoint Energy infrastructure and silt fencing installation, both of which are managed by the City. No parking signage has been installed on both sides of Edloe in the project area. In addition, Harris County Flood Control District is scheduled to begin removing the old chain link fence and the volunteer trees between the fence and the concrete channel on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
