The City of West U is currently developing a Facilities Master Plan, with the goal of identifying the long-term location and function of City buildings. This is an important step for long-range planning for the future of the City’s public service model. With some City facilities dating back to the 1940s, decisions will need to be made in the near future on repairs and renovations. Factors such as the increasing cost of land in the area, changes in local government and public service practices (such as innovations in technology), and the risk of severe weather underscore the need for a guiding plan for public facilities. City staff, along with PGAL, will hold two Town Halls to solicit feedback from residents for further discussion with Council on the following dates:
Tuesday, April 5 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Community Building
Thursday, April 7 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at City Hall
