Severe weather is expected this evening into tomorrow morning that could include possible hail, flash flooding, and tornadoes. The City of West University Place encourages residents to take the following precautions in preparation:
- Park vehicles in a garage or covered area out of the street – West U PD and FD will be marking abandoned vehicles with yellow tape to communicate with other departments that the vehicle has been cleared
- Bring in or secure any outdoor objects that could be a projectile or block drainage
- Do not place trash, recycling, or yard waste items out for collection until the storm passes
- Remain weather aware by keeping up with the latest forecasts
