[ARCHIVED] Marathon Traffic Alert - January 17

On Sunday, January 17, the annual Chevron Houston Marathon will be coming through the city of West University Place. Homes in West U and Southside Place located along or near the race route may be affected by road closures, announcements from the live band and public announcement booth in front of West U City Hall.

The marathon course travels west along University Blvd. from Kirby, turning north on Weslayan to Bissonnet. Please be advised that traffic will be restricted when the streets close at approximately 6:30 a.m. until the streets reopen at approximately 10:30 a.m. Please visit www.chevronhoustonmarathon.com for an entire listing of street closures.

The West University Place Police Department requests that all vehicles parked on the roadway along the race route are relocated prior to the event.
