Driving While License Invalid 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of W. Holcombe. Upon contact with the driver and through investigation, it was discovered the driver did not have a valid driver’s license or proof of insurance. The driver, Freddie Pena, was arrested and charged with driving while license invalid. 

 

Pena’s criminal history in Harris County includes: evading, assault, unlawful carry of a weapon, failed to identify-fugitive, and possession of marijuana.

Drug Paraphernalia 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contact with the driver, the officer detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A probable cause search led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia.

Officers were dispatched to the 6700 block of Belmont in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, it was discovered the disturbance was only verbal and no physical altercation occurred.

Possession of Fake or False Driver’s License 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 6400 block of Brompton. Upon contact with the driver, the officer detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A probable cause search led to the discovery of a fictious driver’s license. The driver was cited for possession of a fake or false driver’s license.

An officer was dispatched to the 3500 block of Georgetown in reference to a theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect took a package from the front porch of the victim’s property without consent.

Sexual Assault 

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to a sexual assault that already occurred. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim who stated they had been sexually assault by a family member.

Identity Theft 

An officer was dispatched to the 6300 block of Belmont in reference to an identity theft incident that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect used the victim’s personal information to open credit cards without consent.

Evading Motor Vehicle/ Unauthorized Use of Vehicle/ Theft

An officer was dispatched to the 3500 block of Robinhood St. in reference to a suspicious activity call. Shortly after, officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the driver, identified as Christian Stubbs, refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. 

The pursuit ended in the Montrose area when Stubbs exited the vehicle and fled on foot. With the assistance of the Bellaire Police Department and Houston Police Department, Stubbs was located and taken into custody without incident. The suspect vehicle was confirmed to be stolen. 

Stubbs was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Evading Arrest w/ Vehicle in addition to an outstanding felony warrant.

Stubbs was additionally charged with Mail Theft after being caught on camera stealing a package in West U just 2 days prior. That victim's stolen property was located inside the suspect vehicle.

 

Stubbs’s criminal history in Harris County includes: Possession of a Controlled Substance x8, Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Info x3, Burglary of Vehicle x4, Possession of Marijuana x4, Aggravated Assault w/Deadly Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Weapon x4, Attempt to Disarm a Police Officer, Assault, Mail Theft, Criminal Mischief, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle x2, Fail to Identify-Fugitive, Theft, Burglary of a Habitation, Burglary of a Building.

An officer was dispatched to the 3200 block of Pittsburg regarding a trespasser. It was discovered a resident requested a guest to leave the property but refused. Upon police arrival, the individual left without incident.

An officer was dispatched to meet with an outside agency who had a subject detained with outstanding warrants with the West University Place. Upon arrival, the officer took custody of the subject who was transported to the West U Jail for booking.
