An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department Lobby regarding a minor accident that had already occurred. An unknown vehicle struck the victim’s unattended vehicle and left the scene without providing the information required by law.

An officer met with an outside agency to pick up a subject for outstanding municipal warrants with the West University Place Department. Upon arrival, the officer obtained custody of the subject who was then transferred to the West University Jail for booking.

Unlawful Carry of a Weapon 

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 2800 block of University Blvd. Upon contact with the driver, it was discovered the driver had outstanding municipal warrants with the City of West University Place. Further investigation led to the discovery of marijuana and a loaded handgun. The driver, Tyler Pancheri, was arrested for the warrants and charged with unlawful carry of a weapon. The driver has no previous criminal history.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 6300 block of Buffalo Speedway. Upon contact with the driver and through investigation, it was discovered the driver had an outstanding warrant for probation violation out of Louisiana. The driver was taken into custody for the warrant without incident.

Unlawful Carry of a Weapon  

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5400 block of Rutgers. Upon contact with the driver, the officer could smell an odor of marijuana emanating from or about the vehicle. A probable cause search led to the discovery of various drugs and a handgun. The driver, Joslyn Harris, was taken into custody and charged with unlawful carry of a weapon. The driver does not have any previous criminal history.

An officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Tangley in reference to an auto theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect entered an unsecured vehicle, ultimately taking it without consent.

Burglary of a Residence  

Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Albans in reference to an unsecured property. Upon arrival, the officer discovered forced entry/broken window to the residence.  A search of the property led to the discovery of the suspect, Reginald Lockett. The suspect was arrested and charged with burglary of a residence.   The suspect has a criminal history of burglary.
