The West U Parks and Recreation Department will be kicking off the holiday season with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The 2022 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Monday, December 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Friends Park, 6104 Auden Street. The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will feature dance performances, vendors, holiday games, selfie stations, face painting, ice sculpting, and more. Enjoy holiday music and watch as the Mayor and Council welcome the crowd before announcing the 2022 Coloring Contest Winners, who will have the honor of flipping the switch to light up the Christmas tree. Following the tree lighting ceremony enjoy a Laser Light show at 7:00 p.m. that you don’t want to miss. Prepare to be amazed as lasers lights dance overhead to holiday music.
