July 4 is right around the corner, and we are ready to celebrate…social distance style! We are celebrating Independence Day differently in 2020 due to the COVID-19 guidelines. Our past parade and pool parties have been our favorite yearly event, but this year we can’t wait for you to show us your U.S.A. pride around some of West U’s amazing parks!
Four West U parks will have a small booth set up, and residents can visit one or all locations. Parks and Recreation staff will be on-site, with giveaway items for added fun. All giveaway items will be disinfected, and staff will be wearing face coverings (with a smile underneath) during the event. The celebration event will be from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on July 4. Parks to visit include Judson Park (4201 Judson), Colonial Park (4130 Byron), Wier Park (3012 Nottingham), and Huffington Park (6204 Coleridge). Ride your bike, walk, run…we want to see you from 6 feet away!
