Shannon Carroll is serving her second consecutive term as a City Councilmember in West University Place, having also served as Council Liaison to the Senior Services Board during her first term. She lives in West U with her husband and three young children and feels strongly that the safety, parks, friendly neighborhood environment, and activities and amenities offered to residents, from youth to seniors alike, make West U the best city in America in which to live, raise a family, and age in place.
Shannon is currently a Senior Adjuster for a private commercial insurer, where she specializes in overseeing litigated and high complexity cases involving liability and policy language disputes. She has worked exclusively in the commercial insurance industry for more than 15 years for multiple companies, across both the public and private sectors. She graduated from The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She volunteers with numerous area charities and attends St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, where she and her husband teach children’s Sunday School. She enjoys attending her children’s school and sports activities, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
