Area of Concern Saturday

What We Are Mostly Certain Of:
Thunderstorms will develop with this system and will be slow moving posing a greater threat for heavy rainfall.
Timing starting in the west Saturday morning shifting eastward ending Saturday evening.
Rain rates 3"/hour will likely lead to street flooding and eventually rises on smaller creeks and bayous.
What We Are Less Certain Of:
The system may surge southeast Saturday afternoon lessening the flooding threat across the area.
Flash flood messaging:
Street Flooding
- Drive with caution. Cars may flood in low-lying areas. Ponding on roadways may increase risk of hydroplaning.
- Pay attention to the weather. Monitor the NWS, your local media, HCFCD and other official weather information sources.
- Rain may move repeatedly across the same area, causing a rapid rise on creeks and bayous. Some creeks and bayous could exceed their banks.
