[ARCHIVED] Easter Spring Festival and Arbor Day

Photo Easter Bunny and family

Spring is in the air, are you ready to celebrate?  Please join us at the Parks & Recreation Easter Spring Festival and Arbor Day. The two events are held together, making for one perfect spring morning Saturday, April 4, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Recreation Center fields, located at 4210 Bellaire Blvd.

The event is family-friendly and has something fun for everyone. Children can enjoy bounce houses, a giant slide, an inflatable obstacle course, and mini-train rides, as well as activity booths offered by community partners. Bring your camera to take advantage of giant colored-egg selfie stations, snap a picture or two of the street performers, and of course, take photos with the Easter Bunny.

There’s no better way to celebrate spring and especially Arbor Day than by planting a tree, and the West U Public Works Department urban forester will be giving trees away during the event. Trees will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis.

For more information, contact James Browning at or call the Recreation Center at 713.662.7420.
