A general election and special election have been called by the City of West University Place, Texas (the “City”) and will be held jointly with Harris County on May 4, 2019, between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm for the purpose of electing a mayor and four councilmembers and to vote on propositions to amend the City’s Charter.
The Notice of Election provides more detail, but please note that Harris County now has voting centers that will allow residents to vote at any of its locations throughout the county during early voting AND on Election Day.

The General Election is for qualified voters to elect a mayor and four councilmembers. All candidates are uncontested and are as follows:
Mayor: Bob Higley
Councilmembers: John P. Barnes, Lauri Lankford, Ed Sobash, and Kevin Trautner
The Special Election is for qualified voters to vote on proposed Charter amendments, which are outlined in the Notice of Election.
