City offices, including the Community Center, will be closed Tuesday, January 1, in observance of New Year’s Day. All offices will re-open for business at 7:30 am, Wednesday, January 2.
The West U Recreation Center, located at 4210 Bellaire Blvd, will be open Monday from 5 am – 6 pm, but will be closed all day Tuesday. City parks will remain open.
The will be no trash, recycle and yard waste collection on New Year’s Day. Tuesday’s route will instead be collected on Wednesday. Trash, recycling and yard waste will be collected per normal schedule for Monday, Thursday and Friday routes.
Emergency services will operate as usual.
