Road Closures and Delays Expected Wednesday and Thursday/Info on President George H.W. Bush's Funeral*

President Bush’s remains will arrive back in Houston at Ellington Field on Wednesday and will arrive at Saint Martin's at 5:45 p.m.
From 6:45 p.m. until Thursday at 6 a.m., the public is invite he U.S. Army Military District of Washington d to pay their final respects to President Bush as his remains lie in repose. For those planning to attend, you must park at Second Baptist Church – 6400 Woodway Dr., for a security check – no large bags or backpacks will be allowed. Shuttle buses will take visitors to and from St. Martin’s. No walkups will be admitted at St. Martin’s. Organizers are asking participants to allow for ample time to get through security. Video and photos are restricted during viewing and cell phones must be turned off.
Road closures around the church are listed below. These streets will only be accessible to residents and business owners who need to get into the area.
Beginning tomorrow at 11 am
• Riverway Dr. between Sage Rd. and S. Post Oak Ln.
• Sage Rd. between Tangle Ln. and Woodway Dr.
Beginning tomorrow at 1 pm
• Woodway Dr. between Chimney Rock and N. Post Oak Ln.
These streets will reopen at approx. 1 pm on Thursday.
Traffic in all surrounding areas and along the course taken from Ellington Field to St. Martin’s (and then from St. Martin’s to the Union Pacific Railroad Westfield Auto Facility in Spring) is likely to be heavy, and delays should be expected. Houston PD is urging motorists to plan alternate routes.

**President Bush’s remains will lie in repose at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, Wednesday, December 5, at 6:45 p.m. until Thursday, December 6, at 6:00 a.m. with a guard of honor in attendance.
