AT&T is currently performing a remote restore and repair on the telephone circuit that supplies our phone system, which is intermittently effecting the City of West U's phone lines. The expected time-frame to completion is unavailable as of this time, but we continue to actively monitor progress and continue to maintain contact with our local phone system vendor. Originally reported just prior to noon, it was escalated mid-afternoon. The primary symptom is static when an outside call is received and causes breaks in the voice transmission. According to information from AT&T, the issue is wide-spread.
