[ARCHIVED] West U Police seek assistance

The West University Place Police Department is seeking information on an incident that was reported February  14.

At approximately 9:00 pm, a woman  was driving north on Auden  and stopped at the stop sign at Tangley.  Her vehicle was then struck lightly from behind by an unknown dark colored vehicle.  After exiting the vehicles and speaking briefly regarding the accident, the victim then returned to her vehicle  and began writing down insurance information to exchange with the other party.  While sitting in her vehicle, she said that the suspect approached her vehicle, opened her door and began to strike her on the head and face, causing injury to her face. The suspect, described only as a young black male with a bald head and dark, loose fitting shirt and gray shorts, then fled the scene in an unknown direction in his vehicle. There was no property taken. The victim described the suspect vehicle as a “dark, boxy looking older 4 door car.”  West U EMS responded to the scene and provided treatment.

WUPD is asking any witnesses to contact the police with any information regarding this incident.
