The City will be collecting
Christmas trees for recycling beginning December 26 thru January 13. Please place your tree, free of any foreign
material or objects (bulbs, stands, etc) curbside on your regular trash
day. “Flocked” trees or trees containing
any foreign objects will not be accepted for recycling and will be taken to the
landfill for disposal.
All trees placed curbside
after January 13 will need to comply with the standard green waste collection
rules; cut to 4-foot lengths or less, no greater than 3 inches in diameter and
stacked curbside. These piles will need
to be small enough so it does not delay the crews from collecting the normal routes. If the piles are large and require special
pickup, a special collection fee will be assessed (minimum fee is $50).
Please be aware
that we will do our best to collect your Christmas tree on the day they are placed
curbside but occasionally due to the volume of trees, it may not be picked up
the same day.
