[ARCHIVED] West University Place Announces New Interactive Website

Enhancing Citizen and Government Communication

West University Place, TX– (July 1) The City of West University Place is pleased to announce that it is launching its new website as of July 1, 2015.

“We are excited about a new, innovative and engaging website for West U residents to interact with their city government,” said City Manager Michael Ross. “The new modules provide transparency, an opportunity to provide feedback from the comfort of home, and the availability of a wealth of information for all residents.”

After nearly seven months, the city and CivicPlus launched a redesigned www.westutx.gov that now has a cleaner and more intuitive design as well as new features:

• Email and SMS notifications: residents can now receive text alerts when agendas are posted, meetings are scheduled and new information is available. Don’t miss a new city project!
• West U Sidewalk: a platform created to discuss new projects, ask questions and give feedback to city staff and elected officials.
• OpenGov: a new tool that provides an in-depth look at the city’s most current financials.
• Many more: Visit us today to learn more.

With the new website, the City of West University Place will be able to increase its community engagement and enhance the communication between residents and the local government.
