While construction is not expected until the end of the year, soon you will see crews conducting preliminary engineering work over the next couple of months as the construction documents are finalized.
Between February 1 and May 30, the Flood Control District will be conducting non-invasive field investigations along the Poor Farm Ditch project site. Homes affected by this field investigation have been identified by the Flood Control District and have received a notification letter from West U. Later this month, Flood Control will be mailing a letter to the affected property owners with further details.
The purpose of this investigation is to verify information from the previous survey conducted in 2019 and to note any changes that may have taken place over the last 5 years.
What exactly is a non-invasive field investigation?
“Non-invasive” means no mechanical disturbance of the property will occur and the inspector will consider only that which is visible and accessible. The inspector will not mechanically drill or dig any holes within the property or remove any items from the property.
