21-0649Minor Accident/FGSIAt 12:24 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the 3900 block of Tennyson in regards to an accident that already occurred. An operator of a vehicle failed to stop and give information after colliding with a parked vehicle.

At 11:00 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the police lobby in regards to an injury call resulting from an animal bite. The victim was walking when a leashed dog bit the victim on the leg while passing.

9/11/202121-0651Drug ParaphernaliaAt 11:24 p.m. an officer observed a vehicle traveling in the 6700 block of Buffalo Speedway with expired registration. The vehicle was stopped on traffic for the violation. Upon contact with the driver, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle.  A probable cause search led to the discovered of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

At 2:46 a.m. the Virtual Gate System alerted police to a stolen vehicle traveling in the 2900 block of W. Holcombe. Officers located the vehicle and subsequently the driver (Richard Gruver) was taken into custody for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle.

At 10:37 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the police station lobby in regards to fraud cause. An unknown suspect(s) used the victims credit card information to purchase items without consent.

09/15/202121-0655Minor Accident/ FSGI

At 3:34 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the 6700 block of Buffalo Speedway in regards to an accident that just occurred. The suspect who caused the accident fled the scene and failed to stop and give information.   Witnesses followed the suspect until police were able to apprehend the suspect.  The suspect (Jonathan Trindia) was taken into custody and charged with Failure to Stop and Give Information/Render Aid.

At 6:37 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a business in the 2600 block of Sunset Blvd. in regards to a Forgery that already occurred. It was discovered a suspect attempted to purchase items using a forged check but already left the scene prior to police being contacted. A police investigation is on-going.

At 11:17 p.m. an officer observed a vehicle in the 5400 block of Buffalo Speedway displaying an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle for the violation. Upon contact with the driver, the officer smelled an odor of marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted which led to the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
